Get Involved

Sojourner has positively impacted the lives of thousands of victims of violence and abuse since 1979. We provide program participants, adults and children, with information and resources needed to reclaim their safety and stability. All Sojourner services are provided free of charge. Community support is an essential component to all that is achieved, by both the victim and our organization. The combined generosity of businesses, faith communities, private foundations, groups, and individuals helps us provide needed services. Please consider supporting Sojourner in whatever way you can, in any way you can - THANK YOU!

In-Kind Donations

Sojourner is often in need of new or gently used clothing, personal care products, paper products, cleaning supplies and children's items. We utilize these donations directly in the shelter, to ease clients' transition out of shelter and to support the stability of community clients.

We are currently preparing for our Holiday Boutique! In addition to the basic needs donations listed above we are looking for gifts for all ages-- toys, speakers, pajamas, self-care items and more!

For more information and donation ideas visit our current Wishlist. We also have an Amazon registry and Target registry for easy, appointment-free donations.

Donation drives and group projects are a wonderful way to get involved, have fun and give back. Examples include: welcome bag assembly, paper product drives, cleaning supply drives, bedding or pajama drives and baby supply drives. Our Donation Drive Toolkit will make it easy and simple for you to host a drive.

Sojourner accepts ALL cell phones, iPads and iPods with or without accessories. Phones in good shape can be used for 911 phones and even broken ones can be turned into cash for our programs through our partner SmartPhone Recycling.

For additional questions, drop-off appointment scheduling or donation drive planning, please call 952-351-4066 or email Melanie@sojournerproject.org. Thank you for donating!

*Please note: Due to storage limitations, Sojourner pre-approves all in-kind donations and does not generally accept used household furniture, baby furniture, kitchen items or household electronics. We also do not accept travel size items.*
